CANDY CORN TREAT BAG:

Hello there! Back again with another fun project that I stole from Brandi at Convention:) I used the same steps as yesterday's post to make the gusseted bag, but today I used a Sketched Dots Tag A Bag Gift Bag~boy that's a mouthful! Once I got the trimming and taping done, I used a scrap piece of cardstock and masked off the top third of the bag. I then took a Daffodil Delight Stamp Pad and stamped it directly onto the bag. I then took a tissue and wiped off the excess ink. I then moved the scrap cardstock down 2/3's of the way, covering the yellow section, and stamped Tangelo Twist onto the bottom third of the bag. I wiped off the excess ink and was then left with an adorable candy corn bag.

I then stamped the sentiment using Basic Black Archival ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and used the Circles Framelits to cut it out. I layered it on top of a Spider Web Doily using Dimensionals, and adhered the doily to the bag. I made the handles by tearing off approximately 8" of Happy Haunting Washi Tape for each handle, folded it over on top of itself and adhered it to the the bag with Glue Dots. I then attached the gorgeous new White Glitter Ribbon around the top of the bag with Tear & Tape. I tied a knot around one of the handles using the Silver Metallic Thread and attached the spider to it with a Dimensional. I stamped the pumpkin in Tangelo Twist and attached it with a Dimensional as well. I used the coordinating Boo To You Framelits to cut out the spider and pumpkin.

I finished it off with a bow made with 1/8" Silver Ribbon, and adhered with a Glue Dot. This was such a fun technique and I'm sure I'll be making many more for all my little munchkins:) I've still got lots more to share, so make sure to stop back again tomorrow. Thanks so much for coming by:)

HOWL-O-WEEN KRAFT TREAT BAG:

Hello there! Back again today with another fun Halloween project to share with you. I saw this idea from Brandi at Convention and couldn't wait to make one. I thought you might want to too:)

You start with a Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags and trim the jagged edge off the top and trim a hair off the bottom, just so the bag will open.

Score the bag at 1 1/4" from the bottom and fold.

Open the bottom of the bag and fold the ends into triangles as shown to create a gusset.

Fold each side to the the center line.

Seal the seam with washi tape or scotch tape.

Now you have a bag that will stand up or will hold a bulkier item.

To decorate the bag, I used the Dots & Stripes Decorative Mask along with Whisper White Craft ink and a Sponge Dauber. I used the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and the coordinating Boo To You Framelits to cut everything out. The owl was stamped in Tangelo Twist, the hat in Basic Black Archival ink and the sentiment was cut from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock. I added a piece of Happy Haunting DSP to the top with a strip of the yummy Black Glimmer Paper underneath. I added a Gold Sequin Trim band and star cut from Gold Glimmer Paper.

I added some Into the Woods Cotton Ribbon for the handles and attached the owl using Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. Tip: I stapled the handles first and then added the DSP over the top. I used a couple of Dimensionals to keep the owl where I wanted him. This is the perfect project if you're wanting to give a gift with a little substance. I've got more ideas coming so make sure to stop back again tomorrow. Thanks so much for coming by!

SCARECROW HOSTESS GIFT:

Hello there! This is the Hostess gift I made this month using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die. I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the box and used the Sweet Stack stamp set in Crumb Cake ink for the texture on his face. I used the edge of the die to trace his mouth using a Black Project Life Journaling Pen. I used the Tree Punch for his nose in Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and gave him some Pumpkin cheeks as well using a Sponge Dauber. I used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in Crushed Curry Cardstock for his eyes and added Neutral Buttons to the centers adorned with Early Espresso Baker's Twine.

I made a hat for him using Early Espresso Cardstock and the Circles Framelits. I crumpled it up to give it some texture and added pieces of Burlap Ribbon underneath with Tear & Tape. I cut a strip of So Saffron Cardstock with Fringe Scissors and added those as well. I used the set A Little Something for the tag in Crushed Curry Cardstock and attached it to an Early Espresso scallop circle. I attached it to the hat using Early Espresso Baker's Twine.

Finally, I added his little crow friend made with the Bird Builder Punch in Basic Black Cardstock. I punched a couple of the leaves in Crushed Curry and added them for his beak. I finished him off with a Cherry Cobbler heart made with the Owl Builder Punch. He was such a fun little guy to make and I hope my Hostess loves him as much as I do:) I've been in Halloween mode, so make sure to come back tomorrow for another fun idea. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT BAG:

Hello there! I have a fun & easy treat bag to share with you today. I made these favors for all my Paper Pumpkin Pals this past week at my Paper Pumpkin Night. Again, I stole the idea from Shannon at Convention, but decorated it differently.

You start with a piece of DSP~I used the Happy Haunting DSP from the Holiday Catalog. Cut it at 10" x 3 3/4" and score it at 1", 6" & 8 1/2". Slide the DSP into a Gusseted Bag and open the paper up inside the bag and it will hold the shape of the cello bag for you. It's hard to see, but I added scallop strips to both ends of the DSP using the Berry Basket Die.

I love that you get to see both sides of the paper~usually you have to pick one and the poor other side is stuck down to the card:( Once you have the paper inside, fill the bag with treats and fold the excess cello bag under the top flap and secure with a Glue Dot on each side. I cut off 1 1/2" off the top of the Gusseted Bag before I started so there'd be less bulk. Next, I stamped the owl and accessories from the set Howl-o-ween Treat in Basic Black, Tangelo Twist and Rich Razzleberry ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I cut them out with the Boo To You Framelits with the help of the Big Shot.

I added some Gold Glimmer Paper accents to the hat and sentiment. I attached the owl, along with a Spider Web Doily to the bag with a Clothespin. I finished it off with a Basic Black Baker's Twine bow.

This was a super fun & easy project and really easy to knock a bunch of these out in no time:) Make sure to stop back tomorrow, as the fun just keeps on coming! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

WICKEDLY SWEET TREAT SEPTEMBER 2015 PAPER PUMPKIN:

Hello there! I wanted to share September's Paper Pumpkin with you and the alternate projects I came up with. This month's kit is called Wickedly Sweet Treat and it delivered!

This is the adorable treat bag made according to the kit instructions. It holds quite a bit of candy~4 to 5 fun size candy bars:)

It comes with the cute tags and lots of different sentiments to choose from:

Here's the 15 piece stamp set included with the kit, along with a Cajun Craze Stampin' Spot.

Here's an alternate project I made~a fun little acorn pocket. I ran 2 pieces of Soft Suede Cardstock though the Big Shot using the Ovals Framelits. I ran the top piece through again using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I used a retired paper-piercing stencil along with the Mat and Tool to poke holes along the edge, skipping 2 holes, then poking through the 3rd hole. I used Linen Thread to sew the pockets, leaving the top open. I added a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to the top on the front and back, which I trimmed with the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits to get the rounded edges. I did the same with a piece of the Burlap Ribbon, and adhered it to the top Crumb Cake piece using Tear & Tape. I snipped about an inch off of the end of one of the kit straws and sponged it with Soft Suede ink. I stapled it to the top and used Linen Thread to attach the tag, which was made with Very Vanilla Cardstock and the Washi Label Punch. I used Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight & Tangelo Twist inks. I finished it off with an Into the Woods Element and borrowed 8 1/2" from one of the pieces of Cajun Twine from the kit.

Here's a fun little treat holder made with the Gift Card Envelope Thinlits. I used Basic Black Cardstock and the fun set Howl-o-ween Treat and Boo To You Framelits Bundle~which saved me 15%, oh yeah:)

I put a belly band around him and added the sentiment, stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut out the sentiment.

For this card I started with a Cajun Craze base and added a piece of Sweet Li'l Things DSP. I cut off 3" of one of the straws and sponged it withe Soft Suede ink. I cut a chuck out of the back of one of the bags and glued it to the straw. You don't miss it with all the fringed paper that gets adhered to the bag. I wrapped a short piece of raffia around the end of the broom. I stamped the images onto Whipser White using Basic Black and Tangelo Twist ink. I cut the images out and used the Paper-piercing Tool to poke a small hole in the top of each. I cut a banner from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and strung them all together using Lined Thread. I then tied the banner onto the broom and added the crow made with the Bird Builder Punch.

I borrowed this idea from Shannon at Convention. She made these adorable tiny 2 x2 Love Notes, and I converted them into Short 'n Sweet Notes. The beauty of these is there's very little space to fill on the notecards, keeping the message short and sweet:)

See what I mean?...short & sweet. I used Happy Haunting DSP for the baby envelopes and the inside of the notecards.

I made a set of 4 using all of the sentiments from the stamp set. I used  Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Delightful Dijon and Tangelo Twist Cardstock. I added Happy Haunting, Bohemian and In Color Washi Tape underneath the images that I punched out with a 11/4" Circle Punch. I used the Owl Builder Punch for the hearts. I made a little box to tote my notes using one of the Tiny Treat Boxes. I cut the top flap off and ran a piece of Hello Honey Striped Cotton Ribbon around it. I then folded the side flaps down and stapled them. I added Into the Woods Cotton Ribbon handles and stapled them to the box as well. I cut a piece of a Spider Web Doily and adhered it underneath the happy little Jack from Howl-o-ween. I finished it off with a couple of Basic Rhinestones.

I made this sweet little mummy wrap using a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and wrapped it around a fun size candy bar. I layered a piece of Filter Paper over scrap Vanilla Cardstock and punched out bandages using the Washi Label Punch. I glued the Filter Paper to the Very Vanilla Cardstock and wrapped the strips around the candy bar. I lightly sponged the strips with Soft Suede ink to age them a bit before adhereing the Filter Paper. I used the Handpicked Framelits in Tangelo Twist and stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink.

I made this card with a Crumb Cake base which I ran through the Big Shot using the Chevron Embossing Folder. I used a Sponge Dauber with Early Espresso ink to add a little more random definition. I used the Fun Frames Embossing Folders and cut out the frame with my Paper Snips. I used the Bird Builder Punch with Old Olive Cardstock for the leaves. I added a piece of Into the Woods DSP for the pennant and made a tiny banner using Happy Haunting Washi Tape. I used Tangelo Twist ink for the pumpkin and colored the stem with an Early Espresso Marker. The leaf on the pumpkin was stamped in Old Olive and cut down to fit on the pumpkin. I used Mossy Meadow for the vines and Early Espresso for the sentiment. For the splatter marks, I used an Aqua Painter with Early Espresso ink and alcohol and tapped it on my finger. I did the same thing with Old Olive, except I put it in a Stampin' Spritzer. I unscrewed the top and tapped the barrel on my finger to get bigger drops instead of the mist, which goes everywhere.

I filled a small mason jar with peanuts and candy corn and added a Happy Haunting DSP top that I spritzed with alcohol and molded to the mouth of the jar. I added the metal insert to the jar before the DSP so the treat wouldn't taste like alcohol. I then added a circle of Sweet Li'l Things DSP with Dimensionals. I wrapped In Color Washi Tape around the lid and added Early Espresso Cotton Ribbon on top. I made the tag using the Decorative Label Punch and coordinating retired paper-piercing template. I stamped the sentiment using Tangelo Twist ink. I stamped the acorn in Soft Suede ink and the top in Early Espresso. I cut them out and laid them on a couple of Old Olive leaves. I used the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch to punch a hole and thread a piece of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine through it.

I started with a Tip Top Taupe base and used the stamp set Sheltering Tree for the sentiment in Soft Suede. I stamped the acorns onto a Whisper White tag made with the Deco Labels Framelits. I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow, cut them out by hand and adhered. I stamped the last acorn top in Crumb Cake and adhered. I added a Crushed Curry Baker's Twine bow. Underneath the label I used Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon and the Subtles Color Collection for the DSP. I added a Brights Button with a Glue Dot. For the finishing touch, I mixed some Liquid Tombow and water in an old buttons container and dipped a paintbrush in it. I tapped the paintbruch on my finger to splatter the card and then sprinkled Gold Glitter over it~beautiful effect. Thanks again Convention for the awesome idea:)

For this quick & easy card, I started with a Basic Grey base and added strips of Happy Haunting Washi Tape. I used the Ovals Collection Framelits in Whisper White Cardstock and Basic Black ink for the sentiment. I stamped the candy image in Tangelo Twist and used the 1" Circle Punch. I used the heart from the Owl Builder Punch with Rich Razzleberry Cardstock. I stapled a strip of Gold Sequin Trim to the oval and added a Rich Razzleberry Cotton bow on top. I attached it and the sequins with Glue Dots.

Last but not least is this sweet little witches hat which holds a fun size Twix. Thank you so much to Ariane at www.rubbernink.com  for the adorable template:  http://rubbernink.com/wp-content/uploads//witch-hat.pdf. I used Happy Haunting DSP for the top and Basic Black Cardstock for the base. Instead of cutting out the rims by hand, I used 2 of the circles from the Circles Framelits, which worked perfectly. Once I made the cone shape, I glued it using Liquid Tombow, which gives you a little wiggle room. I then placed the donut circle over the cone, and when I got a good fit, I added glue to the top of the stripe DSP tabs and glued the donut onto the DSP tabs. I turned it over, placed a candy bar into the cone, and glued the bottom circle to the donut. I then added a piece of Gold Sequin Trim around the cone using Glue Dots to secure it in place. I used the Stars Framelits in Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and Basic Black ink for the sentiment. I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cotton Ribbon and used a Sponge Dauber in Tangelo Twist ink to go over the ribbon to match it to the DSP. I attached the star with a Dimensional and added a couple of Basic Rhinestones. I had a little hole at the top of the hat which bugged me, so I added a couple strips of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine inside it to make it look like I meant to do it that way:)

My sweet hubby made these scrumptious Ooey Gooey Popcorn Balls, which I finished off this morning for breakfast:)
